Silicon Carbide

This proprietary granular product has been processed in order to provide deoxidation, improved chill, increased melt rate and improved mechanical properties of castings. Various applications include using Silicon Carbide as a carburizer, silicon additive, or de-oxidant. Other benefits include lower shrink defects, enhanced nodule count and longer furnace refractory life due to less slag build up.
